Here’s why A (Disable playbooks before exporting them) is not considered a best practice:

In FortiAnalyzer, exporting a playbook is a configuration-level action, not an operational one. Whether the playbook is enabled or disabled has no impact on the export process or the integrity of the exported file.

The export operation simply saves the playbook definition (its logic, rules, and triggers), not its running state.

Disabling a playbook is only useful when you want to prevent it from executing—for example, when troubleshooting or before deleting it—but it’s not required nor recommended as part of the export procedure.
